I thought this was a pretty cool story, and was reminded on it during Dropped Frames.

I'm not sure how many people know that Epic Games is located in Cary, NC (south of Raleigh). Think they started gaining attention with Gears of War before Fortnite took off.

Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, purchased over 40,000 acres of wildlife in North Carolina to save it from being torn down. He gave some of the land to a local state park to help preserve, as well as giving another $15 million and land to another organization to help keep the land safe

Liked it even more when he said the plan is to find an organization to take over the land fully for conservation.

Just wanted to share the story, if you haven't heard about it.
