Ok Im Level 34, and honestly looking at my build... I got no PvP skills much (Even though I suck at it) I figured I would need to learn in this game even if I suck or not. Here is my skill list

Nightblade I think is a bit underrated. Surprisingly good burst potential and a fair amount of CC breaks/control. Combined with gap closers from Auramancy and Shadowplay it's a really fun class! Definitely tanky as well. A bit weak against Magic but you should be able to kill most mages before they can do much to you. Stun/trip lock for the win!

I'm a daggerspell http://arche-base.com/builds/generator# ... bgHjalUya1 most people take more shadowplay, but I think this is a strong build, and I can't remove any points from sorc or witch without losing passives, and I think the passives it has are quite strong, I'm 33, and just now getting into the pvp zones so I will let you know how strong it is (I've saved a skillpoint because I hear stealth is strong in the open zones while leveling.) But so far I recommend to anyone looking for a CC/Mage type. If anyone is looking for the more fotm daggerspell with heavy shadowplay, I would recommend http://arche-base.com/builds/2240-GUIDE ... sbg3ba1AjE

Don't have a final build created for him as I'm not 50 and can't really tell what feels right yet, I am enjoying my Doomlord(Battlerage, Defense, Occultism) as I only take 3 skills from occultism, and focus heavily on either defense or battelrage, depending on my purpose. Endgame Pvp it allows me to have AOE silence, damage reflect for melee, and an AOE CC. Saw some alpha streamers with it doing well in fights and the name is just too good. Still have yet to see another, though.

An abolisher, while this build is only semi tanky, it has decent dmg and several gap closers (although I don't know how it works at max lvl) - http://arche-base.com/builds/generator# ... 03Jn2MsCU1

THis will be the end result of my build, I tested a blackguard... that wa short lived, tested a doomlord... ran for a bit... switched to this Dreadhunter and man I am loving it actually... I am gonna have this be my end result hopefully any thoughts or help?
Still can't decide what armor I should use and probably gonna stick with shield and sword, or would a katana or something be better?

ideally a solo mage with sustain, but also able to contribute in groups on all fronts.

I'm actually still trying to figure out what class I should make, is the guild short of anything?
Failing that may just try a Trickster.

Just started playing, and I made a Ranger. Archery, Shadow, and Vit. Don't know if it's any good, but it had the skills that I wanted at the time. I didn't do any research before hand though. I do pretty good Solo at the moment, but I believe that'll change. I like the way CohhCarnage plays the Stone Arrow though.

@twotroll it's a nice build, but you have two unnecessary passives in the witchcraft tree. Decreased cast time, when you're almost all instants, and the health regen. There's a multitude of other good options in the witchcraft tree.
@drunkyoda that build is totally split between melee and ranged in a not good way. You should probably revise that.
@Caruesh a melee build like that should definitely get the snare remove(liberation) and teleportation skills from auramancy. Those skills can conditionally make your damage go from close to 0%, up to the damage you're supposed to be doing, plus they can be used to prevent tons of damage too. Your crit passive which gives ~4% erratic damage increase is inferior to those auramancy skills. Sunder earth is similarily also incredibly strong.
@dead_one honestly, it's a crazy mishmash that doesn't scale well and is really poor in efficiency and functionality. If you're planning on handicapping yourself and practicing really hard to position well, it might work well. Long term, you will probably end up changing that build quite a bit.
@svn it's actually quite low in sustain, and a weird level 55 build.
@Varren there's actually plenty of room for improvement, depending on what you want to do. Your current build is pretty good for dungeons though. Liberation is one of the big ones for pvp.
@spida22 make sure to grab mirror light. Top tier spell, right there
