So, this is a long ass story. I'm just going to bullet point it. (fail)
So, Sazka had a pack stolen by a SSGT while he tried moving his pack from ship to cart. The reds that stole it already had a pack, so they put it in their cart.
Which we cornered.
So for 30 minutes, we held him down. Eventually his pack was turned in, but he was still stuck with us shadowing him with the pack he made, so couldn't leave without us killing him.
He tried logging. We stayed.
He tried getting on every red ship around, and they would have have anything to do with him.
For that matter Lunaticos just gave us a pack for some reason. Another crew decided to donkey out on the water rather than have him on their clipper.
So with minutes to peaces. he logs off at a nui, it goes crisis. A few minutes later his buddy scouts the area to see if its clear. We kill him before realizing who it was. At which point, we decided to wait him out. We all stealthed, hid, afked, and even portaled out in from of his scout when he came back. After a few minutes of him feeling safe, he relogged and made a run for it. We liberated his pack (plus the bonus lunatico pack earlier for a net win).
THEN we went on a tour of cinderstone. For the next few hours. We killed everyone we came across, both AFK in their house, and on the road. Killed 2 carts, and a shiny new wagon, liberating 7 packs in the process, and all in all making new friends on the West. By the way. Heavily geared reds get very upset when you destroy their brand new 6 spot wagons and take their packs. Thanks to Dracullis for leading them on a merry chase while everyone else hoofed packs out stealthed.
So, yeah, there is a bunch of crap to deal with, but there is also opportunity.
