CohhCarnage is really looking forward to putting his VIVE VR system to work, but we could use YOUR HELP!

Please post us your favorite VIVE VR games and even more importantly WHERE did you get them? We know that there are some available on Steam however that list is shockingly light!

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and building a strong library of games to choose from to bring you the best content that we can!

Cheers,

There's a VR game put out there by Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1/2/3 producer and actor) called Gnomes & Goblins that's getting really good reviews.

Unfortunately it's just a preview but looks good thus far! http://store.steampowered.com/app/490840/

I recall you saying you wanted to try Subnautica, Deadspace Franchise, Vampire, and Bioshock Franchise when trying to catch up on your YouTube Channel.

I'd like to recommend House of the Dying Sun, a short but very well crafted Sci-Fi space fighting game (non-VR and VR). Cohh shouldn't be too worried about its difficulty, it's quite challenging.

Holopoint : very good/fun game. Ever wanted to be the Mockingjay and/or Jennifer Lawrence? - Steam
A chair in a room : Well done story driven horror game/experience - Steam
Hover Junkers : Haven't gotten to play it, but it seems to have good reviews and replay-ability - Steam
Vanishing Realms : Work in progress, but enjoyable RPG that shows huge promise - Steam

I haven't played my Vive in awhile, but my two most played were The Lab's Long Bow mini game, as well as the demo for Budget Cuts. Both of these are pretty well known, The Lab being Valve's tech demo more or less, and free in steam.

This is dependent on multiple factors. If Cohh is going to jump into VR, he's going to realize quickly how short the list for available titles becomes. By the end of the year we've been promised a lot of titles that just won't be ready to launch. There's a handful of titles worth checking out but you can only get them through Oculus Home and they won't be on Steam. Oculus Touch won't hit the market for a few weeks and that means he's stuck using a controller until they release. Even then, support isn't readily available for all titles. PSVR has promised 30 titles by the end of the year but that cuts him off completely from all chat interaction. The Vive is currently the leader in quality content but they still haven't produced enough to keep us going while waiting for that next big draw. I'd say the best game out right now for the Vive would be RAW DATA.

Well I saw yesterday that Google Earth VR is out and Free. Though not a game by itself It looked to be a fun usage of your VR equipment. As a Plus it's a finished product (not demo or proof of concept).
I'm mentioning this not as a streamable content but the "flying over the canyons and mountains" part of it looked very nice, plus the virtual cities look gorgeous. Might not be a streamable content but at least should be a great use of your gear IMHO.

Elite Dangerous is by far the most complete game for VR right now, even though it has a 10 year dev plan.

Since Cohh already mentioned he'll do an Elite playthrough in VR, I made a small guide with a few links to aid his experience:

Hope it helps!
