Hi, everyone!

As we all know, Cohh has a lot of gaming going on. Since it's easy to be confused on what he'll be playing we're going to try to keep people updated on (potential) games he'll be playing each week. This week (February 1 - 7) the games are:

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
Path of Exile
Pillars of Eternity 2
Nioh 2

Cozy streams:
Path of Exile

Please keep in mind that this list could change at any time.

CRPGs and CohhCarnage, name a more iconic duo.

When a new game is on the horizon everyone knows that Cohh is about to get lost for days as he aims to complete everything the game has to offer. He enjoys them so much he’ll find reasons to revisit past games. One only has to look at a recent charity reward goal for an example. The Cohhilitoin is set to see an evil playthrough of “Pathfinder: Kingmaker.”

As Cohh came to realize the chance to take an early look at the sequel, “Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous” it was only a matter of time before everyone knew his plans. On Jan 29, Cohh started a countdown, setting his eyes on Feb 2 to play the game. :cohhWaii:

This CRPG wasn’t the only game that appeared on the stream. Cohh continued his playthrough of “Nioh 2,” while “Path of Exile” still maintained sway on cozy streams. Both were short lived this week for various reasons that we’ll get into.

With that being said it’s time for the weekly recap.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
Excitement Test

When news of this game was first announced, everyone knew Cohh would soak up any information that came out. Shortly after launching on Kickstarter, he backed it.

For the uninitiated Cohh and OwlCat Games have a good friendship dating back to the developer fixing a corrupted save of “Pathfinder: Kingmaker” for him. Most recently Cohh was on “Community Quest: Choice 1” an event on OwlCat’s Twitch channel.

No matter the game, when Cohh begins his character creation jokes are had about the length he takes to get through it. WotR reminds you of this just on the massive number of classes one can choose from. Not only were the basic classes there like Paladin and Ranger, but each had multiple subclasses to consider to make more specific options. The possibilities are endless. :cohhCheer:

Cohh ultimately chose the Cavalier class due to the option of riding a mount. :cohhWow:

It’s worth noting that Cohh did not spend as long in this area as he wanted to save as much as possible for when the game launches. Whenever Cohh dives into a beta he tends to avoid as much of the story as possible. While looking for bugs, and noting issues, Cohh didn’t want to spoil much of the game for himself and viewers.

He even compiled a list of bugs he found, informing the stream over the weekend that he passed what he found to OwlCat directly.

Overall Cohh spent three days with the game and by the end he was 100% into the game. It is safe to say the entire Cohhilition is anxious to get their hands on it.

Nioh 2
Mastering the Spitstaff

As you may be aware, Cohh received a key from Team Ninja to showcase the PC port of “Nioh 2” the week prior.

One of the bigger bugs he found was the inability to alt-tab from the game as it would cause the computer to freeze. Early statements were that it would be fixed with the first patch on launch day Feb 5. It was actually finished much earlier.

It does work. This time you can believe him. :cohhHmm:

One thing Cohh had done during the playthrough was switch to the Japanese voice acting, as he previously used the English voices for his initial playthrough on the PS4. Wanting to experience in a different way was entertaining, but upon entering the DLC Cohh returned to the English voices. :cohhNani:

As always this causes an uproar in chat when this option is presented, but Cohh has stated numerous times the decision to use English voice acting is to help those who only listen and are unable to watch at work. It doesn’t hurt that someone doesn’t have to read text and can watch more gameplay.

Ultimately the game was put on hold for Kingmaker, and another game that took over beginning on the weekend. Cohh still plans to return to Nioh, but only time will tell when that happens.

Path of Exile
Pushing Endgame

Every so often a game locks down cozy streams with no sign of it ending. And suddenly without notice, it’s gone. Sometimes the writing is on the wall and you can just see it coming.

Not necessarily the case with this one. :cohhOMG:

Tuesday saw Cohh defeat Sirus, considered one of the hardest bosses in Path of Exile and labeled as the primary antagonist of the “Conquerors of Atlas” expansion. Defeating him on “Awakening 4” proved a challenge for him, something Cohh was excited about especially going in without looking the fight up.

As the week pressed on the goal remained to push into higher difficulties, sometimes running maps or trading items with other community members.

Ultimately the same fate of “Nioh 2” fell on this title. After an extensive run-on cozy with it being one of Cohh’s most enjoyable times in PoE, he put the game on hold for the time being.

It’s unclear if he’ll return to it this league or wait to see what happens in the next one. He has spoken at times of an interest in trying other builds, so it may return to cozy streams in the future.
