Here is a great thread on macro's for the game. Cohh asked me to get to post on the forums. In particular these are some of my favorites. I have many more that are a little less used such as crafting, but this should get you started.

http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/ ... ro_thread/

1. Sleep or any CC- This marks the target with Bind 3 aka chains 3.

/mk "Target to Bind 3" <t>
/p "Sleeping Bind 3, Please don't break CC"
/ac "Sleep" <t>

2. Healing the tank while staying on the target. This helps for DPS with heals.

/ac "Cure" <tt>

3. Healing mouse over, for those times that someone else pulls agro including yourself.

/ac "Cure" <mo>

To heal charbuncle,

/ac "Physick" <pet>

This is what im using now since Im low lvl, it is my opening attack anyways after I use sic on a mob. (This is opening attack, and can be reused when the debuff timers run out) I pretty much spam Ruin atm until debuff timers go down, then I press my macro to apply all new debuffs. I have not worked Virus into this, simply because the cooldown on Virus is quite long :(

/ac "Bio" <t>
/wait 3
/ac "Miasma" <t>
/wait 3
/ac "Ruin" <t>

This is a nice one to have to not lose target and heal yourself at the same time.

/ac "Physick" <me>

As I level and learn more about the spell system and how much wait time after each spell is needed I will update this, but for now this about all I need for my lvl 15 Arcanist.

I hope this helps anyone who has never fooled with macro's before.

All hail the Cohhilition!

(While some say that they have mastered how to use a pet attack macro with the Chocobo, I have not been able to figure out a macro to make the charbuncle attack, so anyone who has figured this out, pls post how it is done.) thanks

I think you should put the name of the game in the title or in the post. I guess this is about FFXIV and for that game we have a whole forum part. But good job with the macro's! :D

Here's a basic opener macro for Archer/Bard helps with the opener when soloing single target mobs or maybe even for dungeons and raids if you feel tired/lazy. Everyone can ofc. edit the macros as much as they want and make those better for themselves.

/ac "Straight Shot" <t>
/wait 1.0s
/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/wait 2.0s
/ac "Windbite" <t>
/wait 2.5s
/ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
/wait 2.5s
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>

Swifty (all offensive cooldown's on same button) macro for Archer/Bard

/ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
/wait 0.5s
/ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>

Some macros I was thinking for PvP

/focustarget <mo> (Focus targets your mouseover target)
/ac "shadowbind" <f> (roots your focus target)
/ac "Blunt Arrow" <f> (silence shot on your focus target)

Just wanted to start listing macros so people can start modifying their own and maybe reveal those in here!

I use a "spam" when Straighter Shot isn't proc'd and the DoTs are up. All the buffs finally got to be too much. You want to hit this once every GCD but an extra whenever you see your buffs or off-CD come up then every 0.5s.

The idea is that it will trigger any buff that's available, as well as either of your off-GCD moves when they are available. If not, it uses Heavy Shot which is the setup for Straight Shot crit buff. You will still apply your DoTs (Windbite,Venomous) normally and keep them up, and you will hit Straight Shot when the crit buff is available. However, if both DoTs are up and you don't have the crit, then you just hammer something like this(I'm at work and cant check names):

/ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
/ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>
/ac "Inner Release" <me>
/ac "Barrage" <me>
/ac "Another Buff I forgot" <me>

/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/ac "Finishing Move Name Here" <me>
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>

Yeh that's optimal to use cooldowns on cooldown to get the maximised dps out put, but I like to use those in situations like ifrit's nail for example that if I see that it's not going down or some other fights when you just need the little extra push. In tank&spank fights it is optimal to keep the dmg rolling. And also in PvP you probably wanna use the cd's on right spot.

This is great

If anyone wants to put in there macros they use, please be sure to include what class you are so it is easier for everyone to find ones they need. Maybe we can get a big post full of them for lots of classes.

To Auto blacklist gil spammers in a tell(warning this could possibly fill your blacklist up, and if you accidently blist a friend, just open up blist and remove them)

/blist "add" <r>

I recently figured out how to make DoT's easier and when to reapply them.

For example Venomous Bite has a 8 second duration and is an insta cast so the basic Macro would be.

/ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
/wait 8 (The duration)
/echo RECAST VENOMOUS BITE

What this does is the Echo command will put the words Recast venomous bite into the chat box client side - so party buddies and such won't see it.

Image

The following screenshot show a possible application for the above. In that you could remove the Battle tab of your chat, make it so that it only displays Echo emssages and bump up the Font.

The only downside is that if you tend to spam the attack over and over like most people do, then you'lll get the recast message multiple times.

Working on some cool BARD macro's. My main goal is to allow for more focus during intense fights so basically I am creating the following macros:

1. "Start of Fight" - run's each buff and skill in sequence.
2. "Spam" - spam this during the fight to run any available skill/buff ( may have to split this into buff / skills macro's )
3. "DOT" - run's the dot skills ( perhaps add a wait of 2.43 seconds between and loop )

This should allow for more focus and elite dodge skills :D ( pending they work that is haha )

----UPDATE----TESTING----
- added dot's to spam button
-given up on "start of fi ght" macro ( haha )
- concentrated all into one button spam macro

Spam button ( so awesome )

Description: Keep pressing this during a fight to activate any skill that is not on cooldown ;) ( One warning - once the fight is over or there is no target you will get a lot of spam in your chat, HA )

/ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
/ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>
/ac "Internal Release" <me>
/ac "Barrage" <me>
/ac "Misery's End" <me>
/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
/ac "Windbite" <t>
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>
/ac "Haymaker" <t>
/ac "Straight Shot" <t>
/ac "Feint" <t>

----UPDATE 2----working nicely :D ----
- splitting into two macro's to eliminate un-necessary dot's wasting MP
-seems like they are working nicely ( other than the ungodly chat spam if you don't have a target haha ) - enjoy
-removed Misery's End as it was not triggering

-SPAM macro-
/ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
/ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>
/ac "Internal Release" <me>
/ac "Barrage" <me>
/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>
/ac "Haymaker" <t>
/ac "Straight Shot" <t>
/ac "Feint" <t>

-Dot macro-
/ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
/wait 2.5s
/ac "Windbite" <t>

----UPDATE 3----slight changes----
-Split attacks and "buffs/bonuses" into two macros
-added echo to dot macro to be more aware of the recast timer in order to maximize dps output

-SPAM macro-
/ac "Bloodletter" <t>
/ac "Heavy Shot" <t>
/ac "Haymaker" <t>
/ac "Straight Shot" <t>
/ac "Feint" <t>

-BUFFS macro- - activate as you see your buffs drop
/ac "Raging Strikes" <me>
/ac "Hawk's Eye" <me>
/ac "Internal Release" <me>
/ac "Barrage" <me>

-Dot macro-
/ac "Venomous Bite" <t>
/wait 2.5s
/ac "Windbite" <t>
/wait 18s
/echo -cast- -your- -dots- -again- <se.4>
