Has anyone any "advanced" ideas why my system might freeze? I am out of ideas here and I am a frikkin tech myself.
The freeze can happen at any moment not only under load, but also with no load at all.
The system can run for days without any issue and then suddenly freeze after 30 min of operation.
What I have tried already:
Burn-in test for both RAM and CPU for over 24h -> nothing
Ran memtest86+ for several hours -> everything OK
Reinstalled Windows -> no help
Connected through power stabilizer -> no help
#bangsheadagainstwall#
I see no reason why this would happen. The system shows no issues at all and then suddenly does not react anymore. Only shows frozen screen. Does not react to any input except reset button.
Any help appreciated
Computer freezes for no apparent reason

The only other reason I can think of is an issue with the GPU. But it's fairly new, so perhaps the PCIe port? But I'm no tech.

Thanks for the reply. The board has a second PCIe slot. I will try switching the card there. Haven't tried that yet.

I know it is far fetched but have you checked the thermal paste for your processor? It could be overheating and freezing things up on you.

I did a burn in Test for the CPU and it's temperature remained stable even with all 8 cores running at 100%. So I think the cooling is OK.
