Do to winning a Beta key, and selling my Wife on doing recordings for our business I want to build a complete area including keyboard, mouse, headphones, and two monitors. Looking for reviews on what I have currently. Open to suggestions, comments, and help to convince my Wife its safe for me to build one! ; )

might want a bigger PSU, I think the GPU alone would take the 400 watt... maybe look into the 6-700 range for wattage? I have an older 600 and it is working great.

Since you are not going liquid cooled, I would suggest using a positive airspace fan setup and pick up some extra fans, 2 up front and one exhaust should be ample since you wont be OC'ing I am guessing..... and drop the network adapter... the onboard network is good.... supports up to 1 GPS so even the board overkills the connection... :P

Okies, you should really read the stickied post in this forum, but I have to say that $1000 budget that HAS to include 2 monitors, all perephials and an OS leaves only very little for the PC itself

Nope - This PSU is fine for this range of GFX, really

Thank you. I edited my phrasing.

So.. you're spending $405 on 2 monitors, OS, keyb, mouse & headset

So.. really only $600 to build a PC :)
Let's get to work then :
Remove the soundcard & network card - most modern mobo's are sufficient with their on-board options - and with this budget, you really need to cut corners

This is my suggestion : Updated CPU for 4core, new less expensive mobo, cut a few corners - BUT managed to let in a 760! GPU! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3j58i
(and a PSU that can still hold up!)

You could prolly cut the expensive headset and start out with something less ambitious to save the remainder down to the hard limit of $1k

With these budget contrainsts, I think it's a pretty beastly gaming rig!
