With the new website I thought it would be cool and fun to run tournaments in games the cohh plays in the stream or just other big games. The tournaments don't have to be for prizes but cohh or others could put forward prizes and we could have a charge to enter. Anyway just an idea leave feedback in the bit below

Interesting idea but what kinda tourneys? like chiv duels? crashers arenas? Sf2 1v1 deathmatches? L4Dead team battles? Crashers 2v2 arenas? Sf2 Team death match tourneys? Chiv team obj best of 3s? like 3 maps and full objs and whoever gets the last obj win gets 1/3 then to a diff map and it keeps going till one team is 2/3 BUT howd we make sure teams r right? etc many  ideas but if we get a good system it would be a genus idea :P

I'd be up for some mini tournaments, but that all depends on the games etc too though due to the fact there are a wide range of people all over the country and lag issues could occur if one party hosts the game etc.

If it was to work i think it would take a lot of planning and would need someone to think though all the details and make sure the events go off ok which I would be willing to do.

I do want to take part, but only with the games I have ofcourse. And I want that it's leaded by someone who makes everything clear etc. Not that you don't understand when to play and that kinda things.

It's unlikely, since people on this channel/forum are mostly PC gamers - I sold my xbox simply because I had no need for it and it felt like it took  hours to load anything xD

Oh I know that so well... I still have my PS3, as I like having it, but when I played Skyrim on it... those loading times were just killing me!

This seems like an awesome idea :D

Cook, here's what I'd love to see from you if you're serious about running these!

Left4Dead 2 - How exactly would the tournaments work? How would we track who wins and such?

Killing Floor - Do we go by zombies killed? Last man to survive? What are you thinking here?

Chivalry - I'm assuming a Duel format, with the winner being whoever wins the most duels?

Other games - What other games can we do? What type of tournaments could we have for them?

I'm all for having some organized and structured tournament events! How about TOKENS as rewards? That could be phenomenally fun! Smite tournaments? SF2 tournaments? What you guys thinking?

Also Cooks feel free to keep the top post edited with your latest updates and such!

I think Smite is a good idea. But we have to think about something for EU, I guess it's not only NA people that want these tournaments?

If i dont win any of though games in a giveaway i am going to go into town tomorrow and get a steam money card and get Chivalry and use a cup like so there will be a draw at the start and if you loss your out the win stay for the next round. good idea? and yes it will be head to head duals.

I think it's the best to play with a winners bracket and a losers bracket.
Let's say there are 16 people taking part. If your the second best, but you have to play against the best in the first round, it would be a kind of unfair against the loser of the 2. Because you can't reach what you're worth. So if you lose your game, you'll be put in the losers bracket. If you win the losers bracket, you can play against the loser of the winners bracket final. The winner of that game will play in the Grand Final against the winner of the winners bracket. In that way, even if the best would be defeated in the 1st round, you'll still have the possibility to win. If it's a bad explanation I can try to make it clearer with some pictures. :)

sounds ok but it may be a bit harder to put into use as we want to keep the confusion down to a minimum but if we have a old number we could do a best loser goes to the next round
