So did anyone ever play XCOM: Terror from the Deep? (and new XCOM)

The two that I still dust off from time to time are Wasteland and Ultima VII. The puzzles in Wasteland infuriated me as a child, but I stuck with it (hard to get walkthroughs back then). Ultima VII had a fun story and I felt like I was actually accomplishing something. Of course, now that my brain is in "remembering mode"; King's Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, and Gold Rush! all hold special places in my heart.

Oh wow, yes, I had Police Quest 2! That was a head wreckingly tough game. I think the youth of today would uninstall that within about 5 minutes

I really liked the King's Quest series, fun times. Did you ever play Ultima Online?

I never did, no. I lost a lot of time to Dark Age of Camelot (time, family, friends) so I tried to stay away from MMO's. I really enjoyed the Ultima series, so I'm honestly wishing that I would've just bit the bullet and would have played UO.

You still can man, and for free on player run shards, if you like hardcore RP I can even recommend one I'm currently on by PM. But you can find plenty by googling for it
Been playing UO on player run RP shards since '98, with a few years break in between. Still as fun somehow
Because the community is smaller I've actually gained a few friends, from that first shard in '98 to today. But sorry to hear that happened to you man. Never got into DAOC, but watched a couple of friends play.

Once I get a good gaming machine (going for a laptop, so I'm being picky and taking my time), I'll check it out!

You really don't need that much to play on an UO based shard man

Oh, I know. I just don't have a laptop that's exclusive to me, right now. The wife and kids keep taking it. So I'm using that as an excuse to buy myself one.
