I'm playing as a lancer(dragoon)
with some spells from conjurer and thaumaturge
and some abilities from marauder
with some spells from conjurer and thaumaturge

Also it might be at little easier to understand if we split the classes into FFXIV's roles. Just so everyone is aware of the base ideas/skills of the classes.
DPS
*Arcanist (Summoner) - Magical Ranged class. DoT, Debuff, and Pet Class with access to healing and revive.
Archer (Bard) - Ranged Damage class. Consistent damage dealer with debuffs to compliment.
Lancer (Dragoon) - Close combat class. Focused on Melee burst damage with self buffs.
Pugilist (Monk) - Close Combat Class. Consistent damage dealer with DoT effects.
Thaumaturge (Black Mage) - Magical Ranged class. Burst damage dealer with AoEs, and some debuffs.
Tank
Gladiator (Paladin) - Close Combat class. Armor Tanking with the ability to Block incoming attacks and draw aggro. Best for Main Tank.
Marauder (Warrior) - Close Combat class. HP Soak Tanking with the ability to regain health through attacking and good melee AoE. Best for Off Tank
Healer
*Arcanist (Scholar) - Magical Ranged class. DoT, Debuff, and Pet Class with access to healing and revive.
Conjurer (White Mage) - Magical Ranged Class. Main Healing class with buff spells such as Protect.
*Arcanists have the ability to Job into Summoner (DPS) or Scholar (Healer). However as an Arcanist you will only be allowed to Register yourself as a DPS class in the Duty Finder (as of current).
