I'm limiting the number of games I subscribe to, and with other games (i.e., Wildstar) coming and since I'm already subbed to one other game, I will not be playing ESO. I'm in the beta, and it seems fun, but my focus is elsewhere.

I have not bought ESO and I won't buy or play it in the future.

I normally love subscription based games, because they normally offer better content and updates. ESO makes it really "smart" They let you BUY the game then BUY a subscription and then they have you BUY stuff in their ingame service shops ... triple cash grab.

They lied to their community regarding bugfixes and the game is currently a buggy mess. I won't buy a game, where I see only an open hand for my money but all I get is promises that are never fulfilled for an improved game.

Not with me.

I am quickly becoming turned off by ESO. The stupid freaking level to 50 in a day bug from beta wasnt fixed so you had people using it upon early access..

http://www.twitch.tv/prydatv who streamed the whole thing..

not to mention all of the other general bugs that have been happening since the beginning of beta. argh.

What Rynea said..

Yes, ppl getting to lvl 50 in one day due to bugs/exploits - It will happen.. But unless you were trying to get world/megaserver lvl 50 first, what does this matter to you? What do YOU loose by someone else getting to lvl 50 in a day by doing ridic exploiting that gives them 0 world progression?
If you're playing ESO to experience the game and have some kind of experience with others that level the way you do (non-exploitative), what does a few exploiters mean to you? Apart from hype and ESO official forums rage n such?
In a few weeks (depending on time spent in the game) everyone who wants to be lvl 50 can be lvl 50 by having done it the regular way.. and so these exploits matters very little in a perspective longer than 2 weeks :)

Contrarily, after playing nearly every fantasy-themed MMO since the original Meridian 59, I have the exact opposite feeling about playing ESO. ESO delivers to me an in-depth RPG experience in a deeply-themed MMO setting with fewer bugs, disconnects, and poorly thought out design decisions than any MMO launch I can remember with the possible exception of GW2.

Not only am I very happy I purchased the Imperial Edition, I am also very happy to give them $15 a month for delivering what I see as an amazing RPG and an amazing MMO experience!

Curiously wonderful how our experiences and perspective can bring two such distinctly opposite viewpoints :)

the only thing i miss is chatbubbles or a localized chat where you can actually figure out who says what, since you do not have nameplates by default.

I found ESO to be a bit on the pricey side and didn't buy it therefore, but when I looked at it at g2a it was less than 34€. So the first month is about 1€/day, which is ok imo. If I'll sub afterwards I don't know yet. Especially with the gw2 feature patch incoming I'll probably go back to gw2 (I didn't really left, but yeah will play for longer each day.)
