FPS - Console: This has to be Timesplitters on the PS2! Legendary 4 player splitscreen with tons of fun gamemodes, mutations and weapons.
FPS - PC: COD - MW and COD 1&2 They need to bring the WW2 theme back!
DAYZ, BF2142, BF2,BF3,BF4,BF1942.
Adventure: The Last of Us! This game was so bloody perfect in all aspects and everytime i hear the beautiful music i get sad lol.
Racing: Rollcage for the PS1, pure fun and original game mechanics (for its time).

Since release it has always been Final Fantasy X but after the first 10 minutes of The Last of Us, It was instantly taken away haha. Definite replay value, you can look at the entire story from another perspective, but just an all round fun game to play! Especially on Grounded mode!

FPS- Battlefield series
Story telling/action adventure- Metal Gear Solid seris hands down. It really hits home since its about nuclear terrorist and government espionage and I was a nuclear engineer in the military so i understand both side of the story/series.
- second place is Assassins Creed series. another story that i can get 100% into because my wife is a history buff and we will sit down and read the history on the Borgia family and connect the dots from what actually happened and the way the dev's interpreted it into the story. Very fun to do.
RPG/strategy- Final Fantasy Series for me and Dragon Quest series for my wife.

I'd have to go with 3 for my fav games of ALL time, in this order....
Console: Pirates! (for Sega Genesis)
MMO: Asheron's Call (1, not 2), Everquest 1
Since then, I've been hunting for the next one

Man that's hard to narrow down.
I'd have to say for PC, Counter-Strike mod back in it's beta days. So many hours dumped into that game while I was in high school.

Console: Final Fantasy VII - AKA the game that started my addiction to RPGs
PC (master race): Everquest up til Planes of Power expansion (I hated the direction the game was going in after that). I was so addicted to that game in high school, and had dial-up internet. The # I used to connect to the internet was long distance so... yeah I pretty much ran up a few phone bills of $500+.

MMO-Toss up between Everquest, and Dark Age of Camelot. I'd say Everquest for PvE content (and i met my wife there), and DAoC for PvP action.
ARPG-Diablo 2, although Path of Exile is close. I still play D3 also, but wouldn't rate it anywhere near the other 2.
FPS-the original Unreal Tournament on PC
RPG-Baldur's Gate 2, or Arcanum
Strategy- Starcraft
Civ-style Strat- Masters of Orion 3

Hmm this is a hard one to answer... I play a LOT of games but the moment when i was 7 years old and sat in front of the tv to play Halo for the first time was amazing. Blasting aliens with blood everywhere was such an mindblowing experience as a kid and i have loved the Halo series ever since. So my answer is either Halo CE or the Halo series as a whole.(Sorry if the english i bad at any part, not my main language.)

Alltime? Zelda
--within the last 10 years? WoW ---like someone else said, just because of the sheer hours I put in
Recently? 1. Kerbal -if you've never heard of it or tried, its grand. If your aspiration when you were a kid was to be an astronaut, you need to take a look at this. (However, be prepared to sink a ton of hours into this game. The learning curve is vast, but the reward is awesome.)
2. H1Z1 -as long as SOE stays on top of things, it can and will be around for a long time.

Not as many people play my favorite game, even less so stream it. Crystalis on the nintendo. Not the gba port of crap. But it had it all back then. Active melee with swords, magic, spells, and armors, It looked better than Zelda, and had just as memorable a soundtrack. Plus the badass Alternate title of "Godslayer"

Which ever game I'm currently obsessed with at the time... (H1Z1 and Darkest Dungeon are the current obsessions).

Console: Has to be the final fantasy series. Favorite one for me would be final fantasy 7
PC: team fortress 2, hands down the most amount of time spent in that game. Both funny and tactical
