I'll hopefully be going to this as well. I'm almost tempted to drive from the UK as well, so might be open for a carpool but we'll see about that closer to the time! Any hotel recommendations greatly appreciated XD
i recomment The gamescom camp , its cheaper then hotels and you have a great comunity , great foot and music around you , also wifi is free and red bull does some great contests with prizes :) you justneed your own tent :D
http://www.gamescomcamp.de/home-en here you go . would really love to see most of you there !

If you like alot of noise and dumb drunk people, sure ;-) , but considering some of us are grown as men in the 30+ , i don't do the gamescon camp , i'd like my sleep in a big comfy bed when wandering around for 10+ hours.

1.st the gamescom camp is basically a camp . nothing more . its like you go camping with your 5 best freinds thats all .thats the camp.
2. there are no loud noices . no loud music .
3. the averege age is 27+ there
4. its like you go campaning only difference there are awesome ppl you can hang out with , and chill with and visit the gamescom or kolone with .

and you get enough sleep trust me .you can easily sleep from 9pm to 10am without you get up cuz of noises. ive been there for 3 years now and there was never someone complaining about noice

I've been sleeping at Lindner City Plaza hotel, it is a little drive from Gamescon, but you can also walk there in 10-15 minutes time, but they have free wifi on hotel and you get free breakfast everyday of your stay there, its part of the price, i think i paid 200 euro for 2 nights for 2 people, me and a buddy shared a room.
