Alan Wake is on of the most underated games which would fit in there but not often mentioned. It is not only good it is fantastic(besides of the gameplay)
And before you play heavy rain/beyond two souls, you should consider starting with Indigo Prophecy(called Fahrenheit in europe) it was the first story driven game of this studio und is still the best of those 3 if you can take the graphics(you sure can you played silent hill and resident evil 2.
