H1Z1/DayZ/Rust - which one shall I try?

Hey guys,

So I've wanted to try a survival game recently, just because I've never played any of them. I looked at all three - H1Z1, DayZ and Rust - but a lot of reviews seem really negative. I wondered which you think is the best to try (if any).

DayZ and Rust seem more appealing based on watching some streams, but I don't want to jump into a game if it's really not worth it, so if you have any opinions or other suggestions that would be awesome.

So, I havent touched 2 of those games in a while, and not one at all.

DayZ I played alot of about a year ago. The BIGGEST issue right now is it is fun yes.. but it gets so broken at times that it kills the game. Its one of the most inconstant early access games outa the 3.

H1Z1 has the zombie them to go along side DayZ. It tends to be more stable.. but its also more arcade feeling. Not as Life of death. Also, From what i hear, due to current lack of... things.. it becomes meh rather quick. (this is the one I havent played after watching Cohh play it)

Rust is a whole separate beast. The building aspect is top notch. The amount of items in the game... and the size of the map is a huge improvement. I haven't played Rust since before they scrapped the old game and started new. I had a blast with the old version and took a break. When i wanted to come back to play the new, My friends didnt wanna play. Rust is a very hard game to play alone. With base raiding and things.. you need help constructing a base that will survive. Rust does early access issues tho. Lag from time to time and youll sometimes run into issues when building. Also, The game becomes very tedious when playing on normal non modded servers. (ei not being able to just easily knock down a wall you accidentally placed. Having to destroy it the long way like an attacker would.)

One you did forget about that is newer is Reign of Kings. Its very different from the 3 you mentioned, however it is still a survival game. I have yet to play this one either but Ive been watching alot of gameplay. One of the issues i see tho is the net coding seems to be an issue and Lag seems to take over on a lot of the servers. Also, because of how resources are laid out on the map, some people will hold that area and refuse to let people in to gather that resource, which makes advancing harder.

Right now, If i had to choose which out of these to play, It would be Rust. They are constantly adding things to the game that dont instantly break it. The game play looks enjoyable. The base building system is top notch. Lemmie know if you pick up the game.

Thank you! That is actually a great help. Reign of Kings didn't really appeal to me very much.

I may give Rust a try then. Hurry up payday.... ha!
