A new Everquest server is opening May the 20th. I was an Ultima Online player when Everquest was in it's hayday. I have thought about going back and trying out the old game.

Recently Cohh posted that he was considering trying out the new Everquest server. I plan to play on the server starting on Wednesday, and I was wondering if anyone else was wanting to play?

The game is free to play for the vast majority of content, and free to download.

Anyone interested in joining me?

After talking with the Everquest community, I am finding out that Daybreak in their wisdom wants $15 a month for the priveledge of playing on the new progression server. I am not sure that a sixteen year old game that I have never played deserves that much. So to correct my initial post, it's not free to play on the new server. Bummer.

I have never played EQ before, but I am an old gamer - I'm actually surprised now that I have tried playing on the new server, I am having a lot of fun. It is not an easy game to learn and the graphics are... well, old but the game in it self is amazing - I love it!

I am in the game, and I know Cohh is in the game at least a bit. I hope we can get a group going, cause groups are what this game is about Hope to see you guys online soon!

My wife and I are installing the game now. We played EQ for years. We are really excited to get to see Norrath the way we remember it. Message me your in-game name and we'll group up (that is if you haven't out leveled us already ).
