I'm looking for a good gaming pc but it also has to have enough power and ram to run a CAD program which i use on my robotics team.Any recommendations?

My budget is around 500$ but i would be willing to go higher so even if its above 500$ please let me know about it. I mostly want to play Gary's mod and CS:GO on my pc.

since its used for school/work i guess its more practiacal with a laptop right otherwise a desktop could get you more money for the buck.

and furthermore what exactly in autocad are you doing?

In autocad i'm mostly making robotics parts but sometimes i just dabble for fun.Also do you mean that a laptop is better because you said a desktop could get me more for my money?

a desktop could get you more fore the money yes but a laptop is practial for work/school since you can take it with you everywhere

here you go: this pc's processor is a real beast it might be old but its still real good but there is a tricky part, there is no screen,keyboard or mouse so those you have to find yourself. if you dont have them you can always go to craigslist and you should find them there, i would recommend a monitor with a resolution of atleast 1920*1080. good luck

EDIT: and as for the os, you can get win10 for free aslong as you use the "beta" updates:

Is it used and can I get any type of screen? Also what does os mean. Sorry I've never really done this before.Do I build it myself?

You build it yourself and if you want guidance im here, OS stands for operating system example windows. It can most defenetly handle cad. when it comes to the screens aslong as it has a dvi,displayport or hdmi input

the architecture that its built upon launched late 2011/early 2012 but then it was one of the top peformers and it has aged quite well.
