Hey hey all! I am interested to get into streaming and would love some tips from our own community. I have a good computer but I know I am lacking somethings that I would need to get started. I have two monitors but no capture card or web cam. I know I can get by without the cam for the time being, but what about the capture care? Is that a must? Plus any other tips you guys have for someone BRAND NEW to streaming would be great. Love you all and GOOD SHOW! Take care buds!

You dont need a capture card. That is used only if you want separate gaming and streaming PC. If you have only one computer then capture card is useless.

Right, all you really need to start out with is OBS or a similar broadcasting software. But a little preparation doesn't hurt regarding looking at various add-ons and features. I'd recommend checking out TwitchAlerts and considering bots like Nightbot or Moobot. I'd also recommend making a profile on sites like FollowTrain, Pwning, and the Twitch reddit for additional visibility. And try and form a plan regarding what games and type of content and atmosphere you want to provide!
I'm just starting myself, but the above is basically how I started. I'm eventually looking to expand on options, but for now my stream set-up is good enough given my available assets and skills.

Hello, I agree with everything above. I just wanted to add that Cohh has a few videos on his youtube channel that is about getting set up. The best way to do a mic setup, how to use a green screen (not super applicable to you), and a few others. I wish you luck with your streams, let us know how it is going and if you have any other questions

I finally setup mine the other day as well. I was sitting in my living room watching myself stream Fallout 4 from my PC. It is pretty cool but getting the viewers is the harder part, just keep your head up and have either a webcam or an awesome voice to go with the gameplay...both of which Cohh has haha.

Also Twitch has a little section how to get started as well, i watched both Cohh and that as a reference.
