It really depends what you like to play. I can build one for you if you give me some preferences you like.

Well you have automatic, pistols, sniper, heavy guns, energy weapons

I'd say automatic, cause that is more rifles right?

Yeah...now would you like to sneak around, play with vats a lot, lock pick, hack computers?

Is that all possible without sneaking?

I think this one might server you well you could switch around when you get certain skills but otherwise I believe it is pretty solid

I would say just go with what you feel like from the start. Personally I am going melee ninja with crafting and settlement management :D .

A quality build is always good for a first play through, no matter what game. If you don't know what I mean by that, it means well-rounded and no min/maxing. I'm going to put 3 points into every S.P.E.C.I.A.L and then tinker from there. I think there are enough starting points to put 4 in everything. This wouldn't block you off from anything you want early and doesn't put anything out of reach late game. Fortunately, if I remember correctly, you will be able to spend perk points to raise your S.P.E.C.I.A.L abilities so I don't foresee any of us suffering from "perk remorse".

Well with there not being any level cap it doesn't really matter I guess.
