i personally dislike using in-ears for anything but travel and therefore i dont tend to spend to much money on them. i personally have soundmagic e10s and im really satisfied.

I have the Blue Ant Pump, they are wireless with passive sound canceling. They are what I use to mow the lawn and playing on the computer. The sound is pretty good.

Not certain to what is the best but I use the Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10vi however it's hard to find since the manufacturer stopped making them. They are highly rated for music over at head-fi,org and since they are noise isolating they are good for hearing enemies footsteps creeping up behind you. If you're a bass-head I would not recommend these.

I don't typically deal with in-ear sound systems - prefer speakers/headphones. My sound guy said he loved the Ultimate Ears Trips Akirakun suggested. Since you didn't specify a budget or specific use, I'll give you a low priced suggestion as well: Panasonic ErgoFit RP-HJE120s. Solid in-ears for ~10 bucks.
If you're looking for something mobile and have some cash to drop, the Parrot Zik 2's are INCREDIBLE. These headphones came out on top among models my colleagues in the concert business tested over the last few years and they will absolutely rock your world. The headphones, not my colleagues: they're all chubby nerds in their 40's.
