What are some of the games that bring you back in time?

For me personally they are games like:
-Super Mario Land! I remember that i spent so much time on this game that it got too easy to complete and i got bored of it eventually!
-Pocket Pikachu!

Oh, going down memory lane... wow there's alot.

The SNES games, such as Alex the Kid, Fantasy Zone, Ghosts 'n Goblins... all amazing games from back then.
For the old C64, there is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... that was definitely a classic for me!
And when I got my first GameBoy, Pokémon is my biggest memory from that! Even on a vacation to Gran Canaria, I couldn't let go of it. :D
And one of the biggest memories is from Metal Gear Solid on Playstation 1. By far one of the best games I have ever played, and have just burned itself into my brain, and will probably never go away (hopefully :D ).

All the Epyx C64 games - California Games, Winter Games, Summer Games.. was sure breaking a few of the oldschool joysticks by tapping them like mad.

Pirates on the C64, even though it was pretty buggy and I had to rewrite a little of it (and this accidentally also game me an opportunity to cheat like mad, but I was 14 and it was the bomb!) - this Pirates obsession had made me go out and get every version of it as Sid Meier makes them, including the great and often overlooked 2005 version..

Elite II on the PC, getting some sweet 320x200 gfx action going in full color (or atleast.. 256, you know)..

Every time I play the original Punch Out, it brings me back to when I was 9 years old, at my cousins house on the farm, the day I was introduced to the game. The smells, the excitement, everything comes back to me when the game starts with the bell ringing and the music starts. I spend DAYS of my youth playing that game and I still enjoy it immensely.

The first game I ever played was in 1978 and was the Adventure text game (also know as ADVENT or Colossal Cave). Played it on an HP micro computer at NASA (where my father worked). I was so excited about that game that I learned to program in BASIC and wrote a text adventure for my brother to play.

From the C64 days I remember the entire Infocom series of text adventures, M.U.L.E, Jumpman, Agent USA, and the original Bard's Tale.

Hm, I am only 19, so I haven't tested the REALLY old games. But, for what brings me back. Freespace 1, Baldur's Gate 1, Red Alert 1 and Heroes 3 I think. Games that I played all the time in my childhood. Age of Mythology/Empires2 and Warhammer:Chaos Gate is also high on the list, but I think the 4 first titles is closer to the heart for me. :)

I'd probably have to say Dune and/or Prince of persia always brings back memories, Dune because I love that game.
Prince of persia because I've associeted "Rage against the machine" music to the game and I still listen to Rage against the machine :D

I really want to say Timesplitters just to be "punny" but I won't even though I kind of have haha!

Well I would have to say games like Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow. Sonic, Goldeneye, Yu-gi-oh forbidden memories, Digimon world ect

Pong, Pit Fall and Tecmo Bowl on Atari, nothing like running backwards for a touchdown :D
Nintendo I think Mario and Contra were my main staples, I did play a lot of Little League World Series too!
Then N64 007 was a great game. Sega Dreamcast was all about the 2k series, NFL2k was 10 times better then madden and I loved all their sports games.
