im a complete dunce when it comes to pcs for the most part and i stupidly decided to install the sound card myself..... ive got it all plugged in but windows is not picking it up when i turn my pc back on and the install disk does not have drivers for windows 10. its only got older versions of windows on it. also as i understand it you can go through your pc setup page by pressing F2 while its booting up and going into my peripheral configuration and disabling my audio. that could get widows to detect my sound card. like i say im a big dunce with this sort of thing so i was wondering if any of that might work or if theirs a better way to getting it up and running??

Malloc, check your device manager. (Control Panel -> Device Manager) If there is a piece of hardware under "Unknown Devices" then it is possible the only thing you are missing is a driver. If that is the case then simply download the driver from the official website of the provider of the sound card. (Google sound card name + driver, eg "Logitech Sound Card xxxx driver" and that should supply it.) Install said driver, restart computer and that may be a fix.

Otherwise, if your disk has Windows 8 Drivers on it install those, as Windows 10 is generally compatible with Windows 8.
