What would you all recommend as far as VR? Rift or Vive or? Want to give it a try but wanted to get some opinions first!
Thanks!

I'd personally wait. Much like the early console rush in the beginning years, there's no way of telling what hardware and companies will tough out these first few years of new tech hype. There's a chance you could end up with a piece of hardware with minimal good games and even fewer options for support.
As for what you should buy, it really depends on what you want. Rift has a better starting lineup of games, while Vive has Steam support and is more accessible to independent developers. I imagine that Rift will start off stronger with Vive building up momentum to overtake it in the long-run.

Oh, and one additional thing: speaking hardware-wise, the main difference between the Rift and Vive is one of priority. The Rift is designed to be less noticeable in weight and bulk terms, so you don't feel like you're in a world with a pair of super-heavy goggles on all the time. But the Vive has a better control setup and is more immersive in terms of its ability to interact within the VR world.
Also, Vive costs a bit more.
So, again, depends on what you value more. With the two leading products right now, there's no noticeable difference in screen quality or sound. So make of the products what you will. If I were forced at gunpoint to get one, I'd probably get the Vive myself.
