Hello all, a little bit ago I asked a question about a GPU and if it was better than the one I had and if it was worth the money, well now I'm just going to go ahead and buy a new computer. So I wanted to make a new thread for anyone to give their input on my build that I'm about to list out, all parts are linked to Newegg so you can see the parts I'm getting. I'm pretty sure this is what I want and just wanted input on it and make sure it would all work, specifically if the Corsair Water cooler would fit in the Rosewill Rise case on the top of the case. I will also be probably buying the GTX 1060 rather than the listed GTX 960. So now here is the build....

3. [CPU] AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz
4. [GPU] EVGA GeForce GTX 960 (Will probably buy the EVGA GTX 1060)
5. [RAM] G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
6. [CPU Cooler] Corsair Hydro Series H100i V2 Extreme Performance
7. [Storage SSD] Crucial MX200 2.5" 500GB SATA 6Gbps
8. [Disk Drive] ASUS DVD Burner Black SATA
9. [PSU] EVGA 220-GS-0550-V1 80 PLUS GOLD 550 W ECO Mode Fully Modular
10. [USB] SanDisk 32GB Cruzer CZ36 USB 2.0 Flash Drive (Using this to install Windows 10 and for general use after)

Build comes out to be $992.90 with the current sales and with the GTX 960! With the current sales and with the GTX 1060 ($250), it would be around $1,030.91

So that should be it, just want some input on the build and just want to make sure that the H100i can fit on the top of the Rise case.

I would switch to 4th gen i5 4690k or even i7 or 4790k, I personally don't trust amd with their stuff, so if you do that you might want to change the motherboard for a 4th gen intel processor ( 1150 socket ).

Allso, don't go for that AIO ( all in one ) cooler, I recomend a air cooled one : Cooler Master Hyper Evo212.

Allso, check this case, I tested and did a review on it, loved it : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811854031 , for 10 bucks you can get the window version of it.

One more thing, I don't see an HDD. It's not that cheap, but buy a HDD from Segate, 1TB one should be enough. The SSD alone will not do in time from my experience.

Thanks for the input, but like I said Im sure I want all this its just that I want to know if the Corsair cooler will fit in the top of the Rosewill case, it says it should but read reviews on both and it sounds like its a tight fit. I want the AMD processor I always went with AMD they are so much cheaper than Intel and are pretty equal in performance. Yes Intel has way more optimized and faster CPU but this is all I need. I actually had the Cooler Master Evo12 included in this build and it would keep the CPU cool, but I wanted to OC it a little, so I read reviews about the AMD 8350 and the Evo12 alot of people bought those too together and it wasnt keeping the CPU cool when they OC theirs, so I looked for a cheap water cooler and found the Corsair one. It has great reviews and it talks about keeping higher chips cool and it also had a few people with the AMD 8350 comment about how it cooled there CPU really well 20C idle and no more than 45-50C with throwing anything at it. Now with the HDD and SSD I need an SSD thats why I have it in the list above, I have 2 500GB Samsung drives from my rig now and they are fairly new so I dont need and HDD at this time. Now the case i loved the one I picked out and thought that was the one for me but the one you linked, just wow I think I might switch that out and get that, I will just do some more spec research and make sure everything will work! oh and does a dvd burner fit in it or no? I can just get an external dvd burner? Thanks for that.

I do really like that case, it's cheap and good.

One thing to mention, if your room has 30*C and you have an AIR cooler, the component can't be cooler than that , bcz physics.
AMD is known to have issues with the temperatures because the software dosen't know how to properly read the temps.

On the other hand no,it dose not support an internal unit, in 2016 most people use USB not DVD/CD units anymore .. buuuut, you can buy an external one on USB cheaply I think.

Good thing you have the HDD's, and I can see your point with the AMD, as Cohh says, more power to you ^_^. If you have more questions I will be here. Good day/night

Yup thanks again, i have switched the cooler to the evo and changed the case, aswell as the ssd i went with an 250gb instead of a 500 gb so the build is much cheaper!
