Should I make the jump to Windows 10?

My PC does meet the requirements to upgrade to Windows 10.

CPU: i5-2500k @ 3.3GHz (min req is a 1GHz)
GPU: GTX 950 Superclocked w/ 2GB GDDR5
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7

I waited a year for various issues to be fixed and games to become compatible with Windows 10. My question is, seeing as there's only 9 days left to decide, should I make the jump to Windows 10 or just stick with Windows 7?

If I do choose to make the jump, are there any issues that I should expect? I am aware that there is an issue with something related to Nvidia at first but I know it can be fixed just by re-installing/updating the drivers.

Windows 10 is not worth it, in my opinion. It's especially bad if you're at all into information privacy, and Microsoft will only be encouraged by people using it to continue their increasingly corporate-centric business model. I've done everything in my power to avoid upgrading. Additionally, there are still a number of systems, programs, hardware, and features which the OS reacts violently to and will effectively lock up your computer. For how little actual improvements they're offering, especially given Windows 7's stability and reliable UI, it seems like a bit steep a risk.

I have yet to find a reason to upgrade to it. But if you're really afraid of being left behind, then this'd be the time to find out for yourself.

I went to Windows 10 a while ago. I enjoy it, there are some great features. I do agree with Maven and old games won't play on it. If you go through the settings you can turn off most/all of the privacy concerns. Windows 7 mainstream support ended last January (service to end in 2020). You have to judge if you want the new features (Aug for win10 is a huge update) vs what you currently have.

If you do upgrade download a program called Anti-Beacon by SpyBot. It turns off most of the information gathering features Microsoft is trying to impose on people. Its a must have program if you are on Win 10 IMO.

Completely agree with getting Anti-Beacon. Be sure to check it after each Windows update as it may revert some privacy settings or add new features which need to be immunized. It's as easy as making sure you have solid green bars and if you don't just click "Immunize" at the bottom of the UI.
