Lately I have been extremely caught up in Total War: Warhammer. Just curious what everyone else is digging these days.

These days? Sorry, cannot answer that because last time I've played RTS was around 10-12 years ago. What I was digging back then? These titles:
  • Red Alert 2
  • KKND
  • Settlers I/III/IV
  • Knights and Merchants
  • StarCraft: Brood War
  • Age of Empires II

I lived on Red Alert: Aftermath, Generals and Warcraft 2/3. I'll be honest, I never got around to playing AoE =(

Grey Goo is a fairly solid triple A title from an indie company. Worth checking out if you are still into RTS.

I haven't really played RTS games in a long time, but I used to play Age of Empires II and Earth 2150 all the time when I was younger!

Warlords Battlecry II. Also, if they count, Castles 2 and Lords of Magic. Call me old-school with my RTS tastes. :3

The Warcraft series
AoE's
also, Galactic Civlisations by Stardock isn't too bad. GalCiv 1 and 2 I played the hell out of them.

AOE 2( the remaster is great), Classic Blizzard (Warcraft 2 and 3, Starcraft), and I've just been getting back into Starcraft 2. I'd been looking into Total War but I've got too many games on my plate right now. At this point I need to trudge my way through dark souls 3 (I've really not had time to play much this year thanks to work).

I was thinking back to the old RTS I'd played and had a ton of LAN parties in was the Axis and Allies RTS. We were just getting into board games and A&A was our first step into it and when we found out they made an RTS it made it easier for us to wire up our dorm room and play way too much against each other. It really wasn't too bad an RTS.

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Kohan was one of my favorites. It had fairly deep city building and each "unit" was a captain or hero character that was accompanied by five other units of your choice, and that made for some really epic large-scale battles. I used to always play on Turtle mode, which made cities really tough and games could last for days on end. Still one of my favorite fantasy RTS all these years later.
