The Cohhilition

So I decided it was time....after much debate and evil wifey glares, subdued with kisses and cuddles, I am starting to upgrade my Desktop System. What I currently have:


- Motherboard: Socket 1155 - Intel Z68 - GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
- CPU: Intel i5 2500k @ 3.3GHz
- Ram: Corsair Vengeance 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 x4 (16GB)
- GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti
- HDD: WD 1TB 5400rpm
- OS: Windows 10
- PS: Corsair GS 600


What is now on order:

Next in line: Motherboard upgrade followed by CPU.

Very nice, I agree with both of those purchases. If you have any questions let us know. I would recommend picking both the motherboard and CPU at the same time, but purchase them when you want. That way you make sure everything works and the price is okay.

Hey @Ghstwlkrs I would suggest going with a SSD for your OS Hard Drive and a Hybrid 1TB HDD for Storage. With that 5400rpm HDD you are going to run into disk bottlenecks during paging operations.

I have thought about the SSD...I have heard that many times about installing just your OS on it and running multiple drives. Have even hear about to differ RAID setups...however I dont understand any of that lol... I am able to build towers...but I can honestly say that i dont understand all the in's and out's to it.

With the way some games are starting to have insane loading times and how much installing them on an SSD helps alleviate said load times, I can't recommend having one enough.

I would definitely have to agree with looking into an SSD.
