So what are peoples thoughts and feelings on the upcoming console titles due for this year? Anything special that has grabbed your interests yet?

Nioh looks good, I'm excited to see how the Switch games come out, Splatoon was a good shooter

I have Persona 5 and tales of berseria preorderd. I'll probably pick up the new nier and gravity rush at some point. There are a bunch more but not remembering off the top of my head, I think it's going to be a good year.

Im pretty hyped for Nioh being that i played both betas and the last chance demo, but i'll be passing on For Honor until i see this new tech they are using for peer to peer that supposedly will keep it fair for everyone.. one of those things where once i see it i'll believe it.
Thats pretty much it for console games, as i'll be grabbing ghost recon: wildlands on pc.

Red Dead Redemption 2 should be pretty damn good. I got a soft spot for the Tekken series so I am pretty psyched for Tekken 7 to finally get a home release. Also looking forward to the Shadow Warrior 2 console release (I don't have a good gaming PC).

I'm looking forward to ME: Andromeda, I'll pick it up for console. I'm currently playing the ME series for the first time on PC, so hopefully I'll be finished for the release.
I'm skipping For Honor/Ghost Recon, I had some fun during each beta but I have decided to cross them off my potential purchase list for various other reasons.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is looking good. The Nier: Automata demo was decent, I like the art style and the story has some potential. Dreamfall: Chapters is another 2017 console release, I skipped the PC version, so I'll pick all these up on PSN/Physical.
Yooka-Laylee is a must and Red Dead 2 is a maybe.

Zelda BOTW is for sure one of my most anticipated, along with basically everything everyone has mentioned already

To be fair, the game looks really good, but the Nintendo Switch offering to me just doesn't make me want to part with my money. So unfortunately I'm giving Zelda BOTW a miss. I'll definitely be watching Cohh stream the crap out of it anyway. It should be a good few days of content.

Fair point. I like the experience of getting new stuff on the release date, even if I might not spend a crapton of time with it.
You could always buy a used WiiU online for like $100-$150, and get BOTW that way!

I am wondering how they will create the world of Mass Effect Andromeda. I mean, it wont be a triology. Will they only make a save import game if enough games have been sold? Or will it be a totally stand alone game, which isnt really a Mass Effect game.

So far I've played Horizon and Resident Evil 7, but I have Mass Effect Andromeda pre-ordered. I'm also looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2, South Park Fractured But Whole, and a few others. Uncharted 4's Lost Legacy looks amazing so far!

I'm looking forward to the relaunch of The Secret World, as Secret World Legend. All the great stories, and atmosphere. As well as them redoing the combat system, from the ground up. So It will be a "shared" ARPG. Guess they want to get rid of the MMO brand.
