Yes, you can now change your name on Twitch. BUT be careful, our system is NOT yet setup for name changing, so you could lose your websub, view your tokens etc. More info on name changing: https://twitter.com/Twitch/status/835192328650313728

This will be looked at by the team, but for the time being, please do NOT change your name until the system is worked out. If you have, keep in mind that tokens, achievements, websubs, etc. will not transfer over at this time.

If you've changed your Twitch name and would like your information transferred to the new name, please create a name re quest thread in this forum and include your new Twitch name.

Oh darn, probably should've checked this post before getting excited when Twitch announced the feature and me rushing to change my username immediately... well, who needs tokens anyway [sad whimper].

Just a note for anyone working on this. After signing in using my twitch login (tee_m) I still get logged in to my old name here 'tunderscorem' - just a heads up.

Yup, totally made the mistake of changing before even thinking about the repercussions of the name change in the token system. I still have all my tokens on this account though, so I can't complain I guess. Hoping for the best!

Any update on this? I have been watching for years and had thousands of tokens, just resubbed today after changing my twitch name last week and now everything is gone. Any way to get those back? My previous name was Furuta82 (as the forum still shows) but my twitch name is now just Furuta.

furuta you have to post the name change in the help section. it takes a bit since theres so many but 1 of the site mods will help you out eventually

Hey, The Curse/Twitch App Forced me to finalize my Name Change because it was about to Expire. I was Sedrick1013 but am now Fuzzums. I waited as long as I could.

Do we have an update at all? I changed my name from Bianca Savelli to Angrywolf6 because it's my GT and the website made a new account for Angrywolf and now whenever I watch Cohh's stream it puts tokens in the Angrywolf account. I still have my tokens from my old name (thank god) but there are no more tokens going into that account.

Yup, I have the exact same situation as BiancaSavelli/Angrywolf6. Is this something that the amazing tech team will be able to fix?

yeah I recently changed my name to theragefilledgamer but the site still has me listed as carlonconsole would love if the tech team could sort this out soon.
