The Cohhilition

Hey everyone, I have a monster of a Gaming PC and been looking to upgrade. While computers are one of the things I'm more versed in, I do need help from time to time.

Currently I am looking to take 2 paths with my build. First one is just an upgrade of the internals (mostly just 2 1080 Ti) if I don't have to do much with upgrades internal wise. Second way is just going to with a new build and going with a Mid ATX instead of the current Full ATX tower I have if the cost isn't that much more than getting the 2 GPUs.

In my honest opinion, I would stick with 1 1080ti, and upgrade your processor. The FX 8350 is okay, but is getting dated, and 90% of games don't even support SLI right now. Getting 1 ti is a good idea though, as you can sli later should the occasion arrise, but being 800 bucks, you could easily get a new board and processor. AMD Ryzen is pretty solid, and 6th/7th gen processors are a solid choice still. If you're worried about all the monitors, use one of the older gpus' to dedicate to displaying to them and using the 1080ti for gaming.

TLDR, Buy 1 1080ti, Get a newer board and processor and ram. Keep 1 of your older gpus for monitor display

Sounds good. I might also get a mid tower and transfer over the internals as long as everything works accordingly space wise.
