Grand Theft Auto fans know that the series is littered with nods to real-life movies, brands, and TV shows. But sometimes the pop culture references go deeper than just passing jokes.
Highlighted below are five GTA missions inspired by famous scenes from classic movies. Hit up the comments with favorites of your own.
The hair metal band Love Fist has done a little too much pre-gaming before a gig, so they ask you, as Tommy Vercetti, to be their designated driver. When you get in the car, you discover that it's been rigged with a bomb that will explode if you slow down. After a lot of drunken bickering, the rockers finally defuse the bomb--assuming you kept the pedal to the metal.
