Diablo 3 closing auction house in 2014

"With that in mind, we want to let everyone know that we've decided to remove the gold and real-money auction house system from Diablo 3."
The company believes that this move, along with the upgrades in the upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion, will create a "more rewarding game experience for our players."
