Apple iMac Gets Updated Processors, Graphics

Apple's iMac line of desktop computers has received a few hardware upgrades, while retaining the same slim casings that the company introduced with last year's models. Both the 21.5-inch and 27-inch versions have been updated with new processors, graphics, and faster flash storage.

The smaller model now starts with a 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 Haswell processor and Iris Pro graphics, and both sizes are available with quad-core Intel Core i5 processors up to 3.4Ghz and Nvidia GeForce 700 series graphics. Those with the need (and the cash) can choose to pick up a new iMac with a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor up to 3.5GHz and Nvidia GeForce GTX 780M series graphics with 4GB of video memory.
