FlatOut Dev Releases Free, Never-Before-Seen Prototype

FlatOut and Ridge Racer Unbounded developer Bugbear has released a playable, never-before-seen prototype of the original FlatOut, available for download via the team’s Kickstarter page for their still-to-be-titled Next Car Game.
The prototype, created over 10 years ago, is described by the studio as “slightly rough around the edges” but nonetheless served as the basis for the FlatOut franchise. Indeed, according to the team the foundation for Bugbear’s proprietary physics engine was first laid down in this prototype.
You can grab the prototype demo from Bugbear’s Next Car Game Kickstarter here.
