Hands-On With Elite: Dangerous

In an I-don’t-recognise-my-life-anymore moment, Frontierinvited me to their offices to be the first person to play Elite: Dangerous. David Braben and his team put me in a room with a joystick that was connected to a PC that was running the first public demonstration of the game. I’ve no idea how something like that happened to me, but I think I got through it without embarrassing myself, even if I did phone my mum to tell her.
