So I am building a college/gaming rig. I have around $1200 to build the main machine. Im not including the OS, keyboard, headset. I may stream and make videos with it too. What do you guys think? I may wait till the 800 series comes out to see a price drop for the 770 or to see if the 870 is priced like the 770.

Here is a link to my build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3i63Y

Ehm, something's wrong - if you click the link your GTX770 is ~$400, if you enter build mode it drops to $320'ish, hehe..
Also - I would save some monies and get eg. ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer mobo instead - same chip, more functionalities, lower price.

Otherwise looks real close to what I'd pick myself!

Oh I did not catch the price, I must have accidentally clicked the 4gb vs the 2gb. Thank you for that catch. Would it be worth getting the 4gb or 2gb? Im not totally sure on that either. Also, thank you for the motherboard recommendation! Saves me some more money :) This is my new build with a i7-4770k because with the money I saved I can fit it in with my budget and it will be better with streaming. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3ieAS

4GB is only really relevant if you run games across multiple monitors at the same time (rendered game screen on 2+ monitors) or you have a 2560x1440 or above single monitor!

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the i7 for your budget as the GTX770 would have a lot more impact at this stage :)

This looks kewl! Just remember that you won't be able to use the PWM functionality on both the Cougar Vortex fans, as the mobo only has 2 4pin PWM Fan connectors (and you'll use one of them for the CPU fan). You can defo plug in a 4pin fan in a 3pin fanplug on the mobo, just so you know in advance!
