Hi guys,
I want to build a new pc. It will be me first pc build so I need some help picking the right parts. Cause I have now idea which parts work well together.
My budget is: about 1500 euro/ 2000 usd
I live in: the Netherlands
Operating system: I need probably win 8 or do you guys think win7
Monitor: I have an older samsung syncmaster 2493hm so I will probably use that one for now but I will get a new one in the near future and use the old as a second moniter
Gaming resolution : don't know. But I will play games on 1 monitor only when I get a second one and put cohh on the other

Peripherals?: will be getting a new keyboard and mouse probably razer ( cohhs link)
Will you do overclocking?: nope never done it.
What are you planning to do with the pc?: mostly games like landmark, titanfall etc. ( the cohhgames

) and some 3d rendering in autocad.
I'm thinking of ordering the parts from alternate.nl or Conrad.nl. But any suggestions are more then welcome

Get this (from Conrad.nl)
And then you either add a AMD R290 (€430ish) or nVidia GTX780 (€500 ish).
Perhaps a 120mm cooler more

thnx Ash that helps a lot
if i have an extra couple of hundred bucks what should i upgrade?
also win8 or win7?
so i dont need an extra cooler for the cpu? the one that comes with the cpu will be good enough?
does it matter which brand to get for the gtx780?
do i need to look at specific specs for a 120mm cooler/fan?
If i want to change the case. will any midi case with ATX support be good?

wow. i compared the prices between alternate and conrad.
and alternate is a lot cheaper. i might get a better pc if i buy it from there.
on the Ram alone i can save 20 euro's and on the grafics card i can save around 70 euro's for the exact same component
could you help again with parts from alternate.nl ash? it also has a danish site

link the site and i think i can help you, ash's build looks good and i think i can help you buy something simillar.
here you go you can switch the case out for anything you like but i recommend this case since its really easy to build in and it has high airflow.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ODq ... sp=sharing
here you go its the same as ashardis just with better motherboard, better cpu and a really beefy cpu cooler.

Ok with thnx to all of you, I think i have it.
Could you check the specs so there will be no problems?
CPU: intel i7 4770k
CASE: Fractal-design-arc-midi r2
STORAGE: Samsung 840 evo 250GB ssd
STORAGE: WD 2TB HDD WDBH2D0020HNC
MOBO: ASUS Z87 - PRO or DELUXE ?
POWER: Corsair CX750
CPU COOLER: BE QUIET! Dark rock pro 3 ?
RAM: G-Skill RipjawX 16GB (2x8) DDR3 1333mhz
OPTICAL: Lite-on DVD burner IHAS124-14 or i use an older optical drive that i have if it still works
GPU: ASUS GTX780 DC20C-3GD5
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit NL OEM
Is this correct or do i need anything else? extra fans?

Asus Z87 Pro3 will be fine for your needs!
The RAM should be 1600Mhz (and low CAS - 9 is good, 11 is baaaad)
The optical drive - older drives might be PATA (wide-ribbon cable), if it is, can't use it (unless you buy an adapter that'll cost ~same as new drive)
As you do AutoCad rendering, you might be able to get proper use from the i7, but otherwise it's a bit of a overkill and I'd get an i5-4670K instead

ashardis you are right i took an i7 for the cad. the ram is "only" 1333mhz it will work but try to look for 1600mhz. pro is enough, its nearly overkill but its always nice with high quality and alot of features. i would take a kingston v300 is a better drive since its cheaper but samsung drives has a almost godlike status. I'm not selled on corsair powersupplies since i've heard reports of them failing but that is maybe because they are the most common psu. fans arent needed in that case you already got a beafy cooler with two fans and there is one in the back of chassi and one in the front.

I found the corsair dominator platinum 2x 8GB DDR3-1600mhz with CL9 9-9-24
i will think about the CPU. in worst case with the i5 i need to wait a little longer
i've read good things about the samsung and ashardis chose it, so thats why i picked it

one more question.
will there be space issues between the CPU cooler end the ram?

i dont think there will be issues with the ram and the cooler, what store are you buying from since dominator platinum is expensive and unnecessary

ok, cool. probably from
http://www.alternate.nl/html/product/li ... ll&lk=9329
Would any CL9 be good enough?
then might go with the Gskill ripjaws X series 16GB (2x8) ddr3 1600MHZ

HELP!!!
I build my pc and everything went great.
Windows 8 installed just fine.
but as soon as i put load on my GPU my pc crashes. (monitor will loose connection, fans speed up) the only thing that i can do at that time is reboot.
I downloaded landmark and when i get to the carachter select menu it crashes.
When i try to get the windows performance index it crashes.
When i run cinebench on CPU, it runs perfect with a score of 825.
when i test openGL after a view seconds the PC crashes.
What did i do wrong and how con i fix this?

well its obiously something with you gfx, how many minutes of load does it take before it crashes,im thinking powerfailure because if it was temps it would take more time and you would get bluescreen.
i guess you have already updated the drivers otherwise you should do so.

15 / 30 seconds that's it.
I upgraded every driver. First installed the drivers/software from the cd. Then updated everything over the internet.
The 2 LEDs on the gfx are green and the mobo isn't giving me an error code when it happens
What can I do?

either its something wrong with the gfx itself or its the power, you dont happen to have a powersupply nearby huh?
