Hi everyone!
First of all: Dear mods I'm sorry if I'm creating this thread in the wrong place. I really tried to put it in the right place. I also did some research to see if it was repeated thread. If it is, I'm sorry :( Just trying to help :p

I don't know if anyone have a PC as old as mine hahaha but if you do you're probably getting stuck on loading screen (says "off world").
I didn't have this problem in open beta, but now it's happening.

Its a DX version problem. Mine is DX11 but WildStar is running at DX10 by default.
I had to make WildStar run with DX9 to be able to pass that loading screen on my prehistoric PC.

If you don't know how to change DX version to fix this problem, here is how to do it:
  • Create a Shortcut for Wildstar.exe (right click -> create shortcut) or (Alt+drag into where you want it)
  • Right click the shortcut and open Properties
  • At the tab Shortcut there's a text box named Target, you'll see the link for the original Wildstar.exe in between quotation marks. type -dx9 after the last Quotation mark. Should look like "<your path>\Wildstar.exe" -dx9 after you're done.
  • Press apply, OK and run the game through that shortcut.
NOTE:
If you have an older PC, DX9 should be your choice.
For newer GFX cards, DX11 will increase performance
If you're having fps/performance issues you might want to try changing it to either dx9 or dx11

I hope you have a nice time with this awesome game :D

XOXO

I had this problem on a GTX 780 Ti, so I don't think it is an older hardware thing. I fixed it by
- killing process
- restarting the game
- change graphics quality to low
- pick character and enter game

It loads fine on low. Changed it back to ultra high as soon as I was in. Haven't had the problem since getting off the Arcship.

The only issue starting the game this way is it will not patch to the latest version, it would be a good idea to start it with the launcher shortcut on desktop every now and then to check for updates.
Also the devs said on wildstar stream the other day that one of the first patches will have many optimizations in the engine for older pc's and newer ones as well
