Random and sudden drop frames

Hello!

When playing WIldStar sometimes, I encounter sudden drop frames. I will go from walking to not doing anything for about 1-2 seconds to walking again. I have tried everything I know to do. I am playing on windowed mode with the lowest graphics setting, I close out all other programs. I have even logged out of the game for ten or so minutes. And nothing seems to work? I am running Wildstar on a 4 year old imac 27 inch (if that helps) It has 4 gigs of ram and a i5 processor. (I don't remember the processor speed. Maybe 2.5ish?)

Any ideas!?

Cheers!

I'm not too familiar with Macs but a 4 year old machine is a bit dated, especially when we're talking about MMO's. How's your framerate outside of the random drops?

it could be an error on their side since its quite a new game, it could be a driver error or it could be as kiratze says that your computer is outdater, and btw running something windowed often makes it laggier(atleast for me).

It also does not help that Wildstar is in SERIOUS need of Performance Optimizations still. People with monster rigs are also reporting massively fluctuating FPS problems.

Yah it's still a bit early for Wildstar and MMO's are always a bit funky with everything like that.

Outside of citys and stuff I do fine. Thanks for the help!

It's likely just your outdated hardware then. 4 years is quite a long time for a computer considering how fast things advance! Especially regarding MMORPG's.

And you're very welcome :)
