I dont have much experience with Mac myself, but I found this trough a quick search, and it atleast gives you some other options beside bootcamp

I have a Macbook Pro and found that the easiest (at least for me) if I wanted to have any games on it was to just sucker down and use bootcamp. Parallels was ok in the beginning, but for playing games it just didn't behave well enough. After switching to bootcamp it has been a lot better.

Have you tried to use Steam?
Not sure about how it works on Mac, but from what i have heard its a decent selection of games. And even some games you own for windows, you also get for Mac.
