So, I've been watching Cohh and a few other streamers (when Cohh wasn't on) playing this game and its something that I think I want to try. My first hurdle was the $30 price tag. Just seemed kind of steep for this kind of game. I am sure I would get hours of play time out of it making the $30 a value, but still...
Anyways, I was just reading the faq on their website wondering about the Steam key once it was released and this is what is stated:

– It depends when you bought the game. If you bought the game on or before November 4, 2014 you will get a key when the game is released on Steam. If you bought the game after that, I can’t promise anything."
THIS REALLY FRIKEN CONCERNS ME! It may be out before the end of the year and to have no guaranty that there will be a Steam key given for a purchase now???

Anyone else have any info on this?

Thanx!

I wonder what the reason for this is. Regardless, it's pretty much telling me to wait for the Steam release (and possibly a sale).

It's possible that with all the recent whoooooharrr with Steam Trading recently. That steam doens't allow key generation for purchases after a given date.

So it might not be Rimworld "at fault" but steam?
(Or there is a limit on the number of Free keys they can generate, and the limit is up to that November)

Given some of the farses that´s been out on steam which has ended up as disasters while being greenlit/early access it might be a decision from steams end indeed.
