Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist Has Gone Gold

Ubisoft Toronto's Splinter Cell: Blacklist has gone gold. The stealth action game is headed to manufacturing for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U ahead of its August 20 release date.
“We couldn’t be more proud of our team," senior producer Alex Parizeau tells IGN. "This is a huge accomplishment for Ubisoft Toronto and for the studios that collaborated with us on this ambitious project – Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Pune. Splinter Cell Blacklist is the first project to go gold in our studio, and I can tell you the atmosphere here is electric."
Ubisoft announced it would open a Toronto development house in 2009. Veterans from Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, and other Ubisoft projects founded the studio and began work on the next Splinter Cell, as well as two new IP and an Assassin's Creed project.
