The Cohhilition

I am not on the whitelist server, and almost every server is HIGH. When I join I experience waves of extreme chopping "laggy play" then it clears up for a minute or two before returning. I tried lowering my graphics setting ingame to very low, seems to do nothing or than make the game look crappy. Is anyone else experiencing this? I know the game server had some lag in the beginning but it seems, sony thinks they fixed it. So is it just me?

Not sure how it could be my machine:
core i7
16 gig of ram
windows 7 64bit
geforce gts 450

I played earlier in the day. It was laggy as everything was loading in, but after 30 seconds it ran just fine.
I had to turn the graphics up to high because the low settings made it way too dark for me.

I haven't tried it after the new patch. Might be different now.

I am running:
AMD 910 Quad Core
8Gigs ddr3
Geforce GTS 450
Windows 8 x64

Edit: I just tried it and it ran fine for me.
