Are you certain your old RAM will work with this mobo? Also, this mobo has an M.2 slot, so I'd look intoan M.2 SSD instead of the one you have.

it sais "The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6Gb/s ports are disabled." will those two be the last out of the 6?
also the ram i have is DDR3 which is incompatible i think? do you know a good brand that is also on the cheap side, but also not just gonna break or if i can cut anywhere?

I don't know much about M.2, but I've found the following:
And yes, DDR3 will not fit in your new motherboard. To make room in your budget, maybe elect for a cheaper 1070. Also, you can do without the extra fans since (I believe) the case you selected includes fans. Those two things combined will hopefully cover the cost of new memory.
Sounds like it will take SATA_1 leaving 2-6 available. Plenty of space since you will only need one for your HDD (plus one for each optical drive, if you have them).
*1. The M.2_1 socket shares SATA_1 port when use M.2 SATA mode device. Adjust BIOS settings to use a SATA device.
*2. The M.2_2 socket shares SATA_56 ports when use M.2 PCIE mode device in X4 mode. Adjust BIOS settings to use M.2 PCIE devices in X4 mode.

Do you need the i5-7600k if you arent going to overclock?
You could get the i5-6500 or the i5-7500 with the stock cooler and use the extra bucks you spare from that to get 2x8 Gb RAM, on your resolution these processors arent really a bottleneck to your system unless you have a 144hz screen.

i always thought you should never use a stock fan?
i want this to be able to run high intensive games, a few years down the line too.
what will i gain from 16 Gb RAM?

Stock fans work fine, so long as you have adequate airflow, especially if you don't plan on overclocking.
Having 16gb of Ram would just make it so later down the line you won't have to get more Ram if/when you upgrade. A lot of places sell bundles of Ram (2 sticks) rather than single sticks, especially if the pin-set for the Ram goes obsolete before you upgrade.
For instance, my pin-set for Ram, which my max for this Mobo is 8 gb. If I wanted to upgrade to 8gb of Ram, it would cost me more to get the obsolete pinset than it would to get a fresh pair of 8gb ramsticks to be 16gb total.

and many games nowaday could easily use 6gb of RAM, this could potentially bottleneck your system. Especially since you want a future proof system i would recommend getting it.

This has a supported base frequency of both mobo and cpu.

i was actually looking into this

sorry i don't really get the supported base frequency thing but would the one you suggested be better?

The i5-7500, and most other non-k kaby lake processors only support memory up to 2400Mhz, which means that the frequency of the RAM will be tuned down to 2400MHz. So its thrown away money to get anything higher than 2400Mhz

In the link of my previous post, under memory specifications: Memory: DDR4-2133/2400, DDR3L-1333/1600 @, which are the frequencies supported
I found just by typing i5-7500 ram support in google, this was what popped up

You might consider getting the 550W PSU instead of the 650W, doubt you pc will ever get near 400W. And if you want to spare money you could check for a cheaper mobo but mobos are things i dont know much about quality changes and such.

Ok, that works.
i was looking around and the bottleneck for this is its CPU if the mother board isn't out dated by then so shouldn't i just get a better cpu if i have the money?

If you believe the single digit fps increase is worth the extra bucks go for it, otherwise id take the i5-7500. For the near future this should be fine for 60fps gaming at 1080p. If you intend to use this pc for over 5-10 years then perhaps getting a better processor is not a bad idea, but you cant really predict what the needs of the new generation games will be.
