I'm not sure how much interest there is, but I figured I'd start a thread to find out.

Are there any other people on here interested in a knit/crochet discussion group? I crochet and I'd love to share photos with all of you if you want to see them. I'd also love to see any knit and crochet creations you have.

Edited to add - With Cohh's permission, I'm adding a link to my facebook page. Thank you, Cohh. :)

I just started crocheting but I'm really enjoying it so far. I wouldn't mind yarn talk at all. I'm sure we have some other knitters and crocheters around here.

I've not finished many projects yet but I have an octopus and a butterfly on my desk now :)

I'm not so great at making animals. I'd love to see photos of your desk buddies.

Those are awesome!! I love the legs on your octopus. I haven't made one yet because I didn't want to stuff EIGHT legs. Those are much better!

I'm pretty sure octopus legs are a little crooked in real life. :p
I throw small mistakes into all of my work on purpose.

As a kid my grandmother gave me a crochet kit and I loved to do it! I don't do it anymore, but I would love it if you shared some photos! :D

My ten year old has been begging me to teach her how to crochet. I'm not so great at teaching. I've been stalling because I don't want to teach her in a way that stresses her out and makes her hate the thought of ever attempting to crochet again.

Here are some photos of afghans and a couple other items I've finished. I hope I'm using the correct imgur link.

I made this one for Thunderla. He wanted something in a deep red wine color.

I made this for my 10 year old. She loves butterflies. (I don't care for them, so this was a labor of love.)
Image

I made this one for the son of a neighbor so he would have something soft to snuggle during his chemo treatments for lymphoma. (He beat it!)

I'm not sure why this photo is sideways. It shows up correctly in my imgur gallery. This is a toy net I made to hold *some* of the stuffed animals and stuffed toys my girls have.

I used a similar pattern to make this because I got tired of tripping over all the balls.

I made this for my toddler. She loves it. :)

Now that I've literally photo bombed the thread, I'm going to go to bed.

I loove them Crochet chick! I need to find the patience to work on something so big.

Also, I've been teaching myself through youtube videos and google. There are some extremely helpful tutorials on youtube, that guide you along every step of the way. I would recommend checking some out :)

Thank you! I should check out youtube and google for ami projects. I think they're hella cute, but I end up confused when I try to make them from an online pattern.

I came here to say... NERDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDS

But really... I can only knit pretty badly I wish I could knit fast and well. I can't even crochet and I wanted to learn :( I used to work at a sewing/knitting/crafting store and people came in with awesome knitted stuff that looked amazing and i was like 'One day, I'll be making stuff like that' but nope!

Also crochetchick the things you made look amazing!
