The PlayStation 4 version of Octodad: Dadliest Catch has been delayed, developer Young Horses has said.
The intriguing Octopus-pretending-to-be-a-human simulator, which is already available on PC, had been expected to land on PlayStation 4 shores some time in March. The developer now says the PS4 version is targeting an "early April" release.
Young Horses also said that it was also mulling over an Xbox One version, and that it had no plans for a Wii U release. "Our word on the Xbox One version is, 'We’re thinking about it.'"
GameSpot awarded the PC version of Octodad: Dadliest Catch a score of 6 in its review. "Although the flimsy narrative couldn't be more cliche in its communication of a message about loving ourselves and each other for who we really are," said editor Carolyn Petit, "Octodad is an endearing hero whose struggle to live an ordinary life under extraordinary circumstances is bizarrely inspiring."
"Unfortunately, Dadliest Catch is just an inconsistent, intermittently hilarious trifle, and not the game this terrific character deserves."
