Contact support via email with your email address, full name, secret question answer and full date of birth and let them know what you would like to change it to.. give a few options in order of importance.

I know a few of us didn't pay attention to which one we picked upon account creation and now its kinda confusing on the who is who in guild chat

I am still waiting for mine to "go through" I will let you know how it turns out. Through email support I was also offered a "call back" from an agent to expedite my ticket. So if you aren't getting a positive response, request a call back.
