[Cohhilition] GW2 Guild, Currently inactive

As we all know by now. ArenaNet has announced an expansion for Guild Wars 2.
Alot of people have been getting hyped for the expansion and with that in mind
The Cohhilition guild will be ready to house all members of the Cohhilition!

[Why we decided to revive the guild]

Because of the announcement of an expansion to Guild Wars 2
alot of people have started to play again or they have plans to play again.
Most of these players will be either kicked from their old guild
or be in an inactive guild. All we want to accomplish by reviving the
Cohhilition guild is to have a pleasant place for members of the cohhilition
to return to

[CROSS-REGION PLAY]
I will try to explain how cross-region play works as of right now.
Guild wars 2 has 3 servers. They have NA/EU which we all know, but
there is a third server. The Login servers

EU and NA are completely seperate. You cannot play together. You
will not be able to find each other in the game.

However, There is 1 thing that connects NA and EU. That's right.
The Login servers. Guilds, chat and friend lists are connected
to the Login servers. Which means NA and EU can be in the same
guild, chat and be on each other's friend list.

As of right now we have decided to keep the guild together as a cross-region guild
as most of us just like chatting together.

[But will we be able to play with each other?]

Yes and no. If you are from the same region. You should have no
problem teaming up because of the new megaserver system.

That's why we have decided to create 2 ranks within the guild.
EU Member and NA Member. this way you can see who you can actually
play the game with.

Please note: If you are not from the same region you can still interact with each other in chat.

[Have you decided on a main server yet?]

We have decided on a main server, Fort Aspenwood.

Why?
Out of all tier 2 WvW servers out there in NA, Fort Aspenwood compliments our playstyle.
The other servers either had a conflict of playstyle or were full. (short answer)

[You said that your main server does not matter much anymore, Why is that?]

Quite some time ago. ArenaNet introduced something called the
'MegaServer system'. The MegaServer system basically is a system
implemented to reduce the amount of data used on a map.

For instance:

With the old system in place Lion's Arch (a city) would have
27 different instances of it on EU. because they have to keep a instance of a map
open for every server. But with the new system they ask players to go to a more
populated map so they can close the map you were in. In which case there might only
be 10 instances of Lion's Arch. It also works the other way around.
If there are too many people in those 10 opened instances for that map.
They will create an extra instance for people to go to.

The system also automatically tries to group you with your friends and guildies.

Edit: Realised that I'm actually on an NA server, although I'm based in the EU. So far I have not experienced any latency issues while playing the game but that may just be my internet.

I've recently just got back into GW2 after the announcement of HoT (I quit shortly after getting my Engineer to 80). I'd love to join the Cohhilition guild for GW2, I had plenty of fun with the guys in the Diablo III Cohhilition clan and I'm sure it'll be the same with the GW2 one :D .

I play on the NA region on the server Sea of Sorrows and my IGN is Mattybrah.1874

Looking forward to playing with you guys in the new expansion!

Recently started playing again - now levelling a ranger and playing around with my 80 engi.

Can't remember any dungeon routes etc so a more relaxed guild would be fun

Yes. You can stay on your own server and still be part of the guild
You can still play dungeons and such with other EU members.
Only thing you can't do with other EU members is WvW unless they're also from Gandara.
