Networking Issues

I will attach my dxdiag and if anyone here has ever used wireshark, I will upload that too

I just moved here, never had any network issues with my past provider but with this one it is the only provider in the area so I do not really have a choice to go to a different one.

I can not stay connected to any game for more than 30 minutes, both connected and wireless. I got the modem/router exchanged twice and had the lines checked out by a tech, had a noise/ping/speed test and they all passed by what they said but no matter what I do I can not stay connected to any game.

Stupid question, have you tried disabling your local and router's firewall then trying it? Obviously do not keep it as a permanent fix but your firewalls could be set to a whitelist connection meaning nothing will connect unless you allow it through. This'll clarify if the issue is located there.

I have disabled all firewalls, both router and my computer. Nothing seems to fix it at all, I am thinking it is just an overload with my isp. I did a little research with wireshark and it is looking like there are multiple connections from my router and dropped frames/packets. It is just a horrible ISP

I see... Could you kindly do a ping test? ( Start, Run, CMD, Type in the following "ping -t google.com >> c:\Test.txt -t")

Upload and send me the results, if you want you can omit your IP Address if it is shown in the logs. I just want to see your response times and fluctuations.

So I may have forgot about the ping test, came back like 2 hours later lol

Looks like your issue may be related to your router... Try the following:

1) Switch off and Unplug your router

2) Check to ensure any and all devices in the house that can cause interference is switched off

3) Twiddle your thumbs for 5 minutes. (At least)

4) Switch on your router again

Do the ping test again locally (Without the output) and check to see if the ms remains lower consistently. Your ping test should look like this:

Regular, rather than your spikes. By switching off and on your router you will basically be resetting it back to a blank slate, wiping any and all choke files/malware.

If that does not work then contact your ISP.
